Troubleshooting
Cybugs...
Most problems associated with any electronic kits involve missed instructions
or poor quality solder joints or missed instructions, and care must be taken to
ensure that the robots are assembled as accurately as possible.
Using a voltmeter set to measure low dc voltages, compare your cybugs
voltages at the three major IC's under the stated conditions..

Make sure the jumper immediately behind IC3 is in place as
shown above. This may be replaced with a on-off switch if you wish. |

 | Check
that you have placed the jumpers in locations J1 and J2 and soldered
them! |
 | Make
the following measurments on IC1 and IC2 with the CdS photocells
completely covered and the potentiometer fully clockwise... ( with respect
to black battery clip wire ground ) |

both potentiometers completely clockwise. Keep feeler wires in
middle of sensor loop so the Scarab does not detect bumping an obstacle. |
